Breeding philosophy

My purpose is to breed healthy dogs that loves to work. I want them to be versatile and able to keep up with the competition both at shows and field trial. I'm not looking for a dogs that suits everybody, my dogs wants owners that are looking for a working dog. But of course, when they have got their daily amount of exerscise they are also lovely pets.
Health is essential for a functional working dog. I do of course only use healthy dogs for breeding, and I do avoid inbreeding. All breedingstock is x-rayed, both hips and elbows, and they are slitlamped regulary. Every litter is followed and the result is used for further breeding decitions. The bitches have to be at least two years before their first litter and do maximum have three litters. I want their first litter to be at least one and a alf year, before next breeding. That is because I want to see that the first one's are healthy, with good temperament and working ability.
